About Fleatale

My name is Patrice. Sometime in the 1990's there was a creative yearning in me waiting to emerge - a magnificent obsession in the making. I began to see the world from an artist's point of view, and traveled through miles of flea markets and old estates, searching for jeweled antiquities. I found so many magical parts and pieces of vintage and antique jewelry that spoke to me. Yet, while discovering its past, I found much of the jewelry was fragmented and missing its essence - its narrative was incomplete. My jewelry wanderlust encouraged me to study art from the Renaissance through the 20th Century. In my mind's eye this was to be the metamorphosis of my first design - highly important costume jewelry to be exact. My jewelry chapter began as one of a kind and as my jewelry business began to evolve and grow, I started to copy my one-of-a-kind creations. I sold to Royalty, Rock Royalty, and many around the world. The person who wanted to wear a piece of my jewelry was the individual who could make it their own and add their own narrative. I took a step back and stopped telling my tale for a while, but it is time to resume. I am back to my roots as there are now more chapters to be written, more jewelry to be designed and more Fleatales to tell.
